Dr. Roshni Chakraborty

Biography

I am an Assistant Professor at ABV IIITM Gwalior since August, 2024. Prior to joining here, I was an Assistant Professor at Institute of Computer Science, University of Tartu, Estonia from December, 2022 to August 2024 and a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Center for Data-Intensive Systems (Daisy), Aalborg University, Denmark from November 2020 to November 2022. I received my PhD degree from IIT Patna, India in 2020 and M.E. degree from IIEST Shibpur, India in 2014. My research area is AI for Social Good in which I work on applications of machine learning, network science and text mining on Computational Journalism, Crisis Informatics, Time-Series Analytics, Bias and Fairness and Signed Networks.

Prior to joining here, was a Faculty at Institute of Computer Science, University of Tartu, Estonia from Dec 2022 to 15th Aug, 2024. I have also worked as a PostDoctoral Researcher  at Aalborg University, Denmark in the department of CSE.
