Dr. Sunil Kumar

Biography

Dr. Sunil Kumar is currently working as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Information Technology, Atal Bihari Vajpayee - Indian Institute of Information Technology & Management Gwalior. Prior to this, he was associated with Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology, Patiala, as a Visiting Assistant Professor.

He completed his Ph.D. from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Guwahati in the area of Image processing and Computer Vision in 2017. More specifically, his thesis work is on recognizing facial expressions from multi-view/arbitrary face images. He did his M.Tech from NIT Rourkela in the year of 2012. His research interest includes Signal and Image processing, Computer Vision, Pattern Recognition, Soft Computing, and Artificial intelligence. Currently, Dr. Kumar is working on developing an autonomous system for interpreting Indian Sign Language.  Interested ones can contact me or send me an email at snk@iiitm.ac.in
